AcademicsDepartments

Modern Languages

The focus in all modern languages classes is on interaction and communication (spoken and written).

Goals of the department

A variety of tools are used to achieve this goal, from traditional study of literature, to analysis and production of contemporary audiovisual documents, via substantial use of IT-based resources. Trips are also regularly organised to stimulate the language learning process.

The Modern Languages Department teaches a variety of languages at all levels, from beginners to more advanced: French (level 1-5), German (1-5), Mandarin (1-3) and Spanish (1-5). Please note that the language levels offered are dependent upon the number of students who choose this elective.
