Happy Holidays from our Principal
Happy Holidays!
The holiday season and the end of term is here. I would like to wish each and every one of you a warm and wonderful festive season with your families and loved ones. I also want to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your contributions this term. As always at IEGS, it has been a very busy term with a whole range of events and activities taking place or being planned for then modified, postponed, and perhaps even cancelled. We have found ourselves adapting to new ways of working in school this term. Assemblies, student council, our IHC events like floorball, debate and dance – these were all a little different than what we have done before. In all of these, I am impressed with the display of teamwork, collaboration, and communication. During this term, each one of you, staff and students, have shown in different ways your ability to adjust to change and find new ways of working, teaching and learning. Again, thank you for this adaptability, your patience, your resilience, and acts of kindness during this term. For this I am grateful and it also brings with it a feeling of calmness and inspires hope and acceptance that things will be ok, especially as we can and do work together as a school community at IEGS.
So, we are now halfway through the school year, and the holidays are a perfect time to reflect and think about your goals that we wish to achieve and what we need to do to work towards making them come true. Take this time to rest, recharge, be safe and have fun.
I wish you all a happy and peaceful holiday, a merry xmas, a god jul, followed by a New Year filled with great promise. I look forward to seeing you in 2021.
Best,
Dr. Heimeier, Principal
