Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet hopes to introduce the International Baccalaureate for students starting at the school in August 2012.

"We see the IB Programme as a wonderful opportunity for students to get an alternative qualification to the traditional Swedish programme that will help them get into university abroad," says IEGS Principal Dr Margret Benedikz.

Ms Muchardt-Smith hopes IEGS will be able to offer the IB starting August 2012

Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet is a candidate school* for the Diploma Programme (DP). This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB) as IB World Schools can offer any of its three academic programmes: the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the IB Diploma Programme. Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.

This week's interview is with Ms Muchardt-Smith, the planned IB Coordinator at the school.

More information about the IB programme at IEGS will be forthcoming subject to our approval. Any questions should be directed to Ms Muchardt-Smith.
