IEGS Alumni at KTH

I'm Irina Dempsey, an alumnus of IEGS and graduated from the Natural Science program in 2019. After graduating I decided to start studying directly at university; fortunately, I knew I wanted to do something engineer based. So I decided to start studying towards a degree in civil-engineer, specifically in mechanical engineering. I chose to stay in Stockholm as at that point I felt I wasn't ready to leave home, just yet. I also played a high level of football and did not want to leave my team, so I began studying at KTH during the autumn of 2019. 

I am now on my third year, and currently writing my thesis in product development, which I am really enjoying at the moment. However, at this stage in my life I feel I need a break from school to do something else, so after the spring term I am taking a year off! I feel that it's best to rest a bit before continuing, but also to think further on what master program I want to do, for my remaining two years. I’m still playing football and currently play division 1 (still loving it as much as I did when I was a ten year old). 

I really did love my time at Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet, and it helped me form the student I am today. I am still super close with so many I met during my three years there (I’ll forever be thankful that I met them at IEGS).
