After losing three on Saturday, Sunday started with a win against Gothenburg Rugby, which saw the team go through to the semi-finals where they faced EXILES.

Nigel Sharp, who coaches the team, said: "I am afraid this match was at too high a pace and at an entirely different skill level so we didn’t really get to borrow the ball."

However, despite previously losing to Kalmar, who had beaten IEGS on Saturday, IEGS beat Kalmar in the play-off for third place, winning the bronze medal.

Exemplary Students

"The team represented the school in an exemplary manner," said Mr Sharp, "both on and off the field and both the school and the parents should be proud of their students/sons."

The team are now on the look out for more players from the school to join the squad so they can enter a team in the “Mäldalsseries” under 19s.
