Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet hosted a debate competition over the weekend, against Kungsholmens, VRG and Sigtuna.

"I am delighted to say, once again, that we won the competition, winning all three of our debates, two of which we won very convincingly," writes Dr Whiteley.

This makes the season stats to be: 3/3 tournament victories; 7/9 individual rubber victories.

Everyone at Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet sends their congratulations to our team of Siri Nylund, Mattias Ahlgren, Andreas Gustafsson, Christian Barsoum and Johannes Warn, all of whom debated on Saturday, allowing us to rotate the squad and give everyone competitive experience.

Andreas, in particular, has proven himself to be a very formidable competitor scoring, on more than one occasion and from more than one judge, around the 40/50 mark, international standard.

What's more Andreas and Siri have been invited to join the national team at a training camp before this year’s world championships.

Finally, thanks to Dr Whiteley and Mr Hemingway, who gave up ten hours of a glorious sunny Saturday to host the event at the school.
