Principal Visit from IES Enskede and IES Järfälla

By Editor

Thursday saw IES principals Mr Mike Saphir and Mr Robert Clark visit Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet.

"The aim of the visit was for them to get a chance to see first hand what we're doing at IEG," said Dr Margret Benedikz.

Mr Saphir (IES Järfälla) and Mr Clark (IES Enskede) spent their time looking around the school, after sampling Kleins Kitchen's lunch in the diner.

"I think they both enjoyed chatting with some of their former student, catching up on how they are doing," said Dr Benedikz. "Both commented that IEG is very much the natural destination for IES students looking to continue at a gymnasiet in Stockholm."

Experience at IEG has show us that students who've previously studied at one of the International English schools in Sweden settle in very quickly to life at the gymnasiet on Södermalm.

"The House system is one of the biggest differences," explained Dr Benedikz, "but it was interesting to talk to other principals about what we're doing. They seemed to be very interested in what we're doing."

Thursday's visit will be followed with visits from other IES principals over the next couple of weeks.
