World Book Day in the Library
World Book Day is a yearly event, celebrated on April 23rd, organized by UNESCO as a worldwide tribute to books and reading. According to UNESCO April 23 is a symbolic day for literature, since on that date in 1616 both Shakespeare, Cervantes and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega died.

Of course we will be celebrating World Book Day in the IEGS Library too! The day will feature secret books, Found poetry workshop, literature quizzes and more! At 10:00 the author Sara Villius will be giving a guest lecture, discuss writing with our students as well as her many accomplishments in the literary world! Sara Villius is an author of books for children and teenagers and has also been writing radio documentaries and dramas for movies and televison.
