IEGS students at Moderna Museet

A group of IEGS Art students – Sharmila, Wesam and Sassan – have been involved with a workshop at Moderna Museet on Skepsholmen. This is all related to the big photo exhibition about  Andreas Gursky.
The result from the students is a fantastic collage of over a thousand photos that will be on display at Moderna Museet now and over the summer. Please go and visit the exhibition.

Study Trip to Poland

Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet students and three teachers spent a week in March i Krakow, Poland undertaking a series of educational visits. The trip was open to students taking History or Geography B and organized by the Social Science Department.

Whilst in Krakow the students had a very busy itinerary. The first day was spent visiting the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. This was a powerful emotional experience for many students. On the second day a visit was paid to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO World heritage site. In the afternoon the Old Town of Krakow, another UNESCO World

Students Win Places at Top Research Programme

This year IEG Södermalm has the privilege of sending 4 students to Karolinska Institute to participate in the national summer research program.  Four places from a national total of 20 students helps us to hold our average over the years we have participated at 18.3%.  No other school can boast anywhere near that level of participation.  But no other school has quite so fantastic students as we have!

This year’s participants are:

  • Haider Raza Syed (N2B)

Utspring 2009

Third years graduate on June 8th. The ceremony will be held at 10:00 in the Aula. Please note that this is not open to the general public – only graduating students will be admitted. 
The "utspring" will take place at approx. 11:00 through the front entrance of the school.
