When Ms. Raja first asked me to write this blog post about my experience interviewing Nobel laureate Didier Queloz, I instinctively worried about one question: how can I make this interesting for others to read while still keeping it somewhat informational? Hence, like the title suggests, I decided that I will try my best to give you some practical tips on how to effectively handle a nerve-wracking, unfamiliar situation, such as interviewing a very important figure, while still sharing my personal take on the whole experience!

We spent a week with European youth just like us, debating important issues that affect the EU and us everyday. Over the course of a week, we learned how to draft legislation, reach consensus on difficult issues, how to debate, how to speak in public and how to understand the other side of an argument despite feeling very strongly for your side.

The second-year aesthetics students are doing an exciting new art project! Their work is to aesthetically express their reflections on anti sexual violence and respect.
To give inspiration, Mathilda Aguilar from nxtME, a nonprofit organization that helps incest survivors, came to the school and held 4 lectures on the topic of respect. She talked about respect on a societal, communal and individual level, and told the story of her own experience with incest. As a part of the Pride Day, there will be an exhibition in the library with books with a LGBT theme. LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender.
As natural as it feels for us that the school library could have an exhibition with books that celebrates all kinds of love, it is important to remember that this would not be possible in some parts of the world. In some countries homosexuality is punished with death. But also in Sweden many teenagers and adults feel like outsiders and not accepted for who they are.
