IEGS shifted to distance learning, following the recommendations issued by Folkhälsomyndigheten, on March 18th, 2020. In doing so IEGS, like many of Sweden's high schools (gymnasium), komvux and universities, left a historical mark in Swedish education, where we are able to conduct almost all teaching and learning activities online. IEGS continues to strive to provide learning opportunities for our students and to keep the routines for both students and our teachers as normal in this unusual time of the Covid-19 pandemic. IEGS moved to distance learning following the recommendations from Folkhälsomyndigheten on March 18th, 2020. This means that our students are now studying from home, following their normal schedule with their teachers.
Distance learning is a new experience for us all. We are committed to supporting and guiding our students so they are able to achieve their potential, whatever their situation. However, it is the students’ responsibility to continue learning and to keep using the opportunities made available to them.
The shift to distance learning at IEGS has been a smooth transition
The last school day of the year has arrived. The school is soon empty and dark, and silence will echo in the classrooms and corridors. Soon the clock will chime and we will leave 2019 behind us and we will move into a new year, 2020, with new challenges, promises, laughter and warmth.

A warm welcome to IEGS for the academic year 2016/17! I extend a special welcome to our new 250 students and 6 new staff members that have joined our learning community.
